Healthy boundaries add so much to our well-being, but most of us have some serious hangups around setting them.

We stew in our resentment instead of having the awkward conversation we need to have. We stretch ourselves beyond capacity instead of being willing to disappoint or inconvenience another. We tolerate situations that don’t feel right to us instead of rocking the boat and speaking up about our needs.

What’s the #1 thing that keeps us from setting the boundaries we need? Fear.

And what helps us move through our fear? Bravery.

Boundary-setting requires us to be brave—to take risks, get uncomfortable, and step out of familiar patterns.

The reward for doing this in our lives can be gigantic!

But if we don’t have a new paradigm to bolster us through this nerve-wracking process, our fear can derail us.

  • More inner permission to be “messy” in the process, and a faster bounce-back rate after setting boundaries that feel risky
